Exciting news to announce… ReWorked Creations is growing into an interactive reuse art center!
My husband Russ and I recently purchased a 1925 Florida bungalow in the Village of the Arts, a live/work/create neighborhood located in the heart of Bradenton, FL. We are joining a community of artists, musicians, healing art practitioners, bakers, restaurant owners and other creatives who are revitalizing an old Florida neighborhood that dates back to the early 1900s.
The ReWorked Creations Art Center will house my own working art studio, gallery rooms to showcase reuse art, an Artist Marketplace space for gift items and curated reclaimed creative supplies, and an interactive activity room for classes, parties and a self-guided Make and Take program. Outside, the property will feature a succulent garden, outdoor art installations, “rest and relax” areas with seating, and dedicated parking spaces. The center will be handicap accessible, and will also maintain a lending closet with mobility aids for visitors with mobility challenges to borrow if needed for a walking tour through the Village.
The property and house need work before we will be ready to open and operate a business. Renovations will take several months, and we hope to open the doors to the public by the end of the 1st quarter in 2017. In the meantime, sign up for our newsletter! We’ll keep you posted on rehab updates, let you know about pop-up Tent Events scheduled on our Calendar, and offer you special discounts on items in our ReWorked Creations Ebay store.
